About
“My feelings about art and my feelings about the Creator of the Universe are inseparable. To try to talk about art and about Christianity is for me one and the same thing, and it means attempting to share the meaning of my life, what gives it, for me, its tragedy and its glory. It is what makes me respond to the death of an apple tree, the birth of a puppy, northern lights shaking the sky, by writing stories.” —Madeleine L’Engle, author of A Wrinkle in Time.
About Me
Hello! I’m LeeAnne. By day, I’m the managing editor of Diablo, a monthly lifestyle magazine for the San Francisco Bay Area (East Bay). By night, I am a writer, painter, scrapbooker, crafter, and dreamer. I’ve been creative for as long as I can remember, writing books as a kid (complete with illustrations, author bios, and masking-tape binding), entering community art competitions, and jumping at every opportunity to take a craft workshop. I have degrees in Art/Graphic Design and Communication/Journalism from Azusa Pacific University as well as an editing certificate from UC Berkeley Extension. I love God, books, film, music, art, animals, food, color, sock monkeys, Mr. Darcy, New Orleans, beef chow fun, and making verbs out of nouns. I get excited about stuffed animals as if I’m an 8-year-old. I dislike airplane travel, logo-laden clothing, voicemail, and meanness. I live in the Tri-Valley with my husband, Paul, and our two kittens, Nomnom and Pepper (short for Caffeine-Free Diet Dr. Pepper). Paul has taught me many things, but most important: how to play World of Warcraft.

LeeAnne,
There are a couple of blogs I’ve found that you might be interested in checking out:
ArtsyCrafty Babe (http://artsycraftybabe.typepad.com/artsycrafty_babe) is a great sewing blog that I follow
Mairuru (http://mairuru.blogspot.com) is a hand-sewer in Japan writing for the US audience. She has amazing easy projects for any sewer. She’s not posting very often right now as she’s just moved and expecting a baby, but her blog is wonderful nonetheless.
And Rebecca Mills (was Luginbuhl from APU) writes an excellent food/cooking blog (http://www.whatsformeat.blogspot.com).
Love your blog, LeeAnne! If only I were inspired enough to keep up with my own blog…
LeeAnne,
